When I saw this week’s I Heart Faces photo challenge was the theme ‘orange,’ I instantly thought of this image. We are encouraged to submit recent work, and this is my one of my favorite family photos from this fall season. Since it is extremely challenging to photograph small children (who are running on energy like the Energizer Bunny!), this day we chose to embrace the opportunity to catch a unique candid. I LOVE how in-the-moment it is. I love Dad’s expression as he admires his rambunctious and full of smiles toddler. I love that Mom is tickling it up with her son and enjoying their time together. I love my job. I love the word love and all that it entails, but mostly…I love that I’m essentially able to freeze and capture this moment–this season—these childhood years–this family–in time…with a portrait that will last forever ♥
