These pictures are close to my heart ♥ My sister Jennifer, my lone sibling, has lived out of state for many years now due to her husband’s job. Our families only see each other about twice a year, and my nieces and nephews have grown so quickly. Between the two of us, my sister and I have ten children (she has six and I four). While we were both flooded with boys, she was blessed with the only girls (sniffle). Don’t get me wrong…boys are blessings too 😉 Of my nieces, Paisley Jane (or PJ) is the oldest, and Macy Jewell (MJ) is the youngest, although they are very close in age. It is always a crazy, cram-everybody-and-everything-into-it kind of a visit when they come to town, because time is so limited before they head back home. We planned this little rendezvous of a “session” on a whim and without many resources, but I’m very happy with how it turned out. I am also truly excited to have been able to capture a glimpse into this time of their young lives. Certainly these will be pictures they cherish and look back on 30 years from now or longer. You will see for yourself that Paisley and Macy are best friends; their love for one another radiates without a doubt. I adore how these images portray just that, along with the fun and simplistic carefree nature of childhood ♥
After we got the shots we were trying for, I knew it would be fun to get them in their natural, childish state.
I’m a sucker for details. Yes, that includes the feet! Check out little sis stepping on big sis’ foot, haha!
